The 2009 Australian Export Awards (AEA) recognise Australian businesses for excellence and achievement in exporting. The program rewards and profiles the 'best of the best' enterprises in exporting around the nation.
From manufacturing to mining, agribusiness to the arts, tourism and education, businesses across all industries, regardless of size or location are being acknowledged.
Now in its 47th year, the AEA have earned the reputation throughout the Australian business community as one of the most prestigious and significant industry awards on the business calendar.
The National Awards program is co-presented by Austrade and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and supported by many of Australia's leading corporations, export facilitators and industry groups. The program remains a high priority and top focus of the Federal Government.
The Awards program is comprised of a series of eight State and Territory Export Awards each managed independently by the relevant state/territory government departments or industry body.
Winners from each State/Territory are announced from September through to November and automatically progress as national finalists to the 2008 Australian Export Awards. In Victoria, winners of the Governor of Victoria Export Awards are automatically selected as national finalists.
If you want your business to be considered for the 2009 Australian Export Awards, you must first enter the Governor of Victoria Export Awards. Businesses cannot directly apply for the Australian Export Awards. Entries are via the Export Awards program in the state or territory in which a business’ head office is located.
