After discussions with Australia’s agricultural export industries, the Federal Government has agreed to provide $40 million to fund vital reforms to cut red tape and improve efficiency in the export process.
Agricultural exports including: red meat, grain, horticulture, live exports, fish and dairy sectors stand to gain from the significant reform. When combined, these export industries are worth $30 billion to the Australian economy.
The reforms will help achieve a world-class Australian agricultural export sector and also provide additional help to expand access to trade markets and support work with international trading partners to outline Australia’s improved export certification systems.
