In March 2009, the Victorian Government commissioned a report on export opportunities for Victorian automotive aftermarket manufacturers in the European aftermarket. This was initiated as a result of a substantial increase in enquiries from European companies attributed to new regulations in the EU which have reduced the market control that has traditionally been exercised by German motor vehicle manufacturers and their distribution network.
